Implants
Dental
implants are solid, mechanical roots which are firmly attached into
the bones of the jaws to replace missing natural teeth. Implants can
be used to replace any number of teeth, and a person healthy enough
to undergo routine dentistry is suitable for such treatment. If you
are dissatisfied with your present dentures or dental condition, and
would like the opportunity to eat better with less discomfort and to
feel more confident when laughing and talking, then ask your dentist
about implants.
Laser Light Therapy
Soft laser therapy is low energy light stimulation derived from the
infra-red end of the visible light spectrum. Unlike X-rays, which
are ionising and occur at the opposite end of the spectrum, laser
therapy stimulates photo chemically and causes no harm. Soft laser
therapy has been most useful in the promotion of healing and is
especially helpful in the rapid healing of cold sores, it can also
ease muscle pain.
LiKON-MODULATED ELECTRIC THERAPY
This is a unique modulation electro-therapy unit which produces both
low and medium frequency currents from the same outlet We use this
very safe unit to help relieve joint and muscle pain, as well as
other head pains. It can also be used as electronic dental anesthesia
instead of local anesthetic injections. This is done by placing
small pads on the gums which transmit minute electronic impulses to
block pain signals to the brain, so preventing the need for
injection.
Dental Abscesses
Abscesses often cause a great deal of pain and if one reaches the
'chronic' phase it can erode the bone of the jaw. They usually
result when a tooth root becomes diseased. However, it is often
possible to save a tooth by removing the diseased matter and filling
the roots with clean material.
